This course will cover key elements of concluding a foodborne illness investigation from the epidemiologic, environmental health, and laboratory perspectives.

These online courses will identify the roles and responsibilities of the epidemiology, laboratory, and environmental investigation disciplines and how they fit into the outbreak team. These courses will emphasize the importance of all team members working together to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the response effort to reduce the incidence of foodborne illness.

Target Audience

The intended audience includes Epidemiologists, Public Health Nurses, Environmental Health Specialists, Public Health Officials, laboratory personnel, and other personnel who identify, investigate, and implement control measures in response to a foodborne disease outbreak.
