AWR-425W: Introduction to Managing Public, Private and NGO Partnerships to Prepare for and Solve Critical Logistics and Supply Chain Challenges During Large Scale Disasters

Description

The course will provide preparatory background knowledge for participants to develop collaborative public-private solutions to manage critical logistics and supply chain challenges during large-scale disaster situations and ensure supply chain resilience for food, water, and shelter. The course will introduce lessons learned from logistics and supply chain challenges that occurred as part of the COVID-19 pandemic and emphasize finding public-private solutions to manage supply chain challenges in different communities across the United States.

This course is a required prerequisite for participants to attend MGT-489. You may take AWR-425W without attending an MGT-489 delivery.

Course Length – This course should take about two hours to finish and provides 0.2 CEUs.

Public and private sector disaster logistics and supply chain stakeholders; Federal and SLTT leadership and management; Emergency management personnel and logistics and planning staff; Councils of Government; Councils of Area Development Districts; Non-profits and planning organization representatives; Private sector organizations and associations.
